Time With Friends
Why hello! Thank you for coming over to our page to read my blog today, it means a lot. We hit 200 followers on instagram, and it honestly just feels like a big deal over here. One by one we have built a pod of friends, pod pals, and to have 200 people saying ‘keep going’ is just totally awesome, so THANK YOU!
I’ve never been the one to have a billion friends, I truly only had one birthday party growing up, and that was when I turned 10 or 11 years old. I’m a bit of a loner, I can be shy and slow to spark conversation, so having a big group of people around me was never the situation. That has carried on with me as I’ve grown up, and I feel like it has taught me an actually really good lesson. It’s quality, not quantity. It’s said all the time with a bunch of stuff in life ; quality people, quality food, quality clothes - Mamma always says ‘get one piece of quality furniture at a time.’ The good stuff.
During this trip I’ve made three friends; it was almost a friendship set up. I go and take care of your home and kittens, and you give me a free place to stay. Normally if I were to do something like this, I would be very formal and careful. Cautious to make a good impression, arrive a few minutes early for directions, and leave before they arrived back home. Very little time to talk and get to know one another. Somehow, that didn’t happen, and I’m so glad it didn’t! On a trip of solo dining, walks with me and my mind, and nights with my best housewife friends, those three meals together, that lasted hours, made an impact. They created friendship.
So tonight I’m very grateful for my new friends in Malta and Paris, I can’t wait to come back with Jefé and see more of your countries! I’m curled up in my twin sized (if that) bed, the window is open and London Saturday night is spilling in from the cracked window, and Lisa Rinna and season 6 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are waiting for me - time with friends.
