How To Go For It

How do we just ‘go for it’?

The little voices in our head tell us ‘this is what you want’, our hearts flutter when we imagine it coming true, but yet we don’t always act on it. Why do we do this? What’s holding us back? How do we overcome this wall we place in front of us? I don’t know the answers, but I can share my current path.

I’ve always had dreams of being a country singer. The next Faith Hill, winning awards, singing to giant crowds, and someone little girls like I was would look up to. That was one dream, but I’ve had so many. And so many have passed by without me properly acting on them. Moving to Africa to help save chimpanzees is just one example of the plethora that have bounced around my heart and brain. But what I’ve landed on now, I truly think is what I’m supposed to do.

I love creating, I love art, I love connection. I AM a creator. I’ve had to work on myself a lot to be able to say that! You’d think it wouldn’t be that hard, but trust me it is. Self belief is the first step in going for it. If you can’t believe in yourself, then how can anyone else, right? Our minds are the engine that move our bodies forward, so gas up that engine and let your vehicle move forward!

It’s a simple as that. BUT, my daddy has always said ‘the simplest things are the hardest to do.’ THAT IS THE FUCKING TRUTH! Running, it’s one foot in front of the other, but it’s an ass kicker. That’s simple, but it’s very hard to a lot of us to do (I would even say everyone at the very beginning.) So doing, that’s the ticket, go forth and do.

In summery; one, believe in yourself, and two, do it! Let me know what you want, and where you’re going :)
