A Love Letter to Our Listeners

We all crave the need to be seen, heard, understood. It’s just a part of human nature. By starting PS We Have No Plan, Emily and I created an opportunity for ourselves to do just that. It gave us the space to tell stories, find commonalities, and discover deeper meanings in our lives. It gave us the space to find purpose. Anyone who listened to any number of episodes made us feel a sense of belonging and worth that goes far beyond words. So, thank you.
As adults, we rarely allow ourselves the opportunity to try new things, especially things that are public facing. We fear rejection, hatred, or scrutiny. Emily and I were no different. What will he think? What will she say? Will people make fun of us? And now, after twenty episodes and our first season published, I’m so grateful that we pushed past those fears. Thank you for every person who supported us throughout this journey of trying something new. I hope it inspired you to do the same. I hope next year we all put ourselves out there, get vulnerable, and show our authentic selves in whatever way we need and want to. This is a love letter to our listeners.

I want to tell you exactly how you’ve impacted our lives, solely by listening to us, a love note you could call it. I manage to talk myself out and down about nearly everything my mind tells me to do. Whether it’s been painting, singing, taking design courses (that I spent $2,000 on and never finished!), or moonlighting as an influencer - I never have given myself the time and space, and I have w/ this podcast. Because of you, our online family. I’ve learned to use my voice, and listen to it. To believe in myself, because why the fuck not? Payton and I have taken this leap as friends, and business partners to find questions to answers, and more question we will never answer. I take what I want to do in this life, and how I want to leave the world, so seriously that at times it keeps me from acting at all. This podcast changed that & is changing me every day. On Thursdays we have curled up w/ you from clear across the country, and dive into what is and isn’t happening. We will keep doing that - even if there’s one of you listening, we will be there for you. We want to be the big sisters of the Internet, and create a cozy corner that brings us together. Thank you for being here and letting us be here w/ you. We have a lot coming up, dreams to bring down from the clouds, and we really can’t wait for you to know about it. Thank you for all your love - I love you.
